- I often find myself repeating my dad's stories to friends because they always crack me up. This is a good way to preserve them, although I do have a hard time capturing my dad's voice in the stories, so I just retell it the best I can. This isn't any great literature or fantastic writing, just some Fairfax folklore about boys who grew up here and have seen all the changes. They grew up in a time when people were more forgiving, or at least there were less people, so everyone at least knew of everyone, which made it better when they did get busted for racing and pulling pranks in terms of not having to sit in jail, as my dad's dad was a bondsman and was forever bailing out dad and his friends.
